Reviews
Wonderful experience, greeted with an amazing brass band playing whilst we ate a scrumptious carvery. Clearly the kitchen manager has it well organised. Lovely atmosphere in time for Christmas. I will be back!
Don’t know if the other reviews were just there on a bad day, but me and my partner had a great experience and can’t fault this location. Ordering was easy, just had to go up to the bar and give a table number. Food came out fast and was nice and hot, and tasted good. And all the staff were welcoming and friendly. A lot of reviews said about it being messy but while we were there tables seemed to be cleaned promptly. Also had a cocktail sat outside where they had loads of outdoor seating available overlooking the sea. Overall great and wouldn’t think twice about eating here again.
Very tasty carvery, only £12.99 ! And if you have a taste card or blue light you get 25% discount ! Tip cordial and soda is a cheap drink to buy The guy slicing the meat needs a payrise ! Such a happy welcoming chap unlike the other staff who were just as busy. No one seemed to know how to tell us about the parking and one told us there were no seats available and to leave. When we asked someone else, they said we could just pick a table outside ! Which was much nicer than inside anyway. Beautiful setting on the beach. You get 3 hours free parking where they give you a ticket on the way out. But when you scan it,it gives you 3 hours from when you scan it so very confusing ?
Went there on a Sunday. Outside was pretty messy and the staff didn't seem too interested in cleaning. Had to grab a staff member to clean the outside and she only swept the broken glass away and left all the other mess. However Lily, who served us was exceptional. Great customer service and when queried about a Gluten Free dish - she checked her allergen guide and then went to double check with the kitchen. She made us feel very assured.
We arrived late last Sunday for a carvery and weren't disappointed (although the sprouts could've been cooked a little bit more) I chose gammon and turkey for my meats and added lots of veg including carrot and swede mash, carrots, peas, cauliflower cheese, dauphinoise potatoes, roast potatoes and roast parsnips, with cranberry sauce and gravy. Everything I had was gluten free and delicious, apart from the sprouts as previously mentioned. It was so good we're planning on going again very soon!
